Lunar Golf — Crater Edition
Hit golf balls off the rim of Tycho Crater and watch them fly in 1/6th gravity — they travel 6x farther than on Earth.
About this Mission
Alan Shepard hit a golf ball on the Moon in 1971. Now it's your turn — but from the rim of a massive crater. The Explorer's manipulator arm swings a custom lunar golf club, launching balls off the crater rim into the void below. In lunar gravity, a decent shot travels over a mile. The HD camera tracks each ball as it arcs across the black sky. You get 12 balls. A radar tracker measures each shot's distance. Can you beat the current record of 2.3 km? Compete on the global leaderboard.
