About this Site
Artemis Base represents the culmination of Phase 3 , the transition from periodic expeditions to permanent human presence on the Moon. Built into the wall of Malapert crater near the south pole, the base incorporates ASI's (Italian Space Agency) Multi-purpose Habitats (MPH) providing pressurized living and working space for 48 residents. CSA's (Canadian Space Agency) Lunar Utility Vehicle handles heavy logistics, moving cargo between the landing pad and habitat modules. Over 200 Optimus robots maintain systems that humans cannot , EVA suit prep, exterior hull inspection, regolith shielding maintenance, and continuous solar farm operations. Earth-based teams are critical: life support engineers monitor atmospheric systems, medical staff provide telehealth to crew, and logistics coordinators manage the cargo manifest for regular HLS (Human Landing System) deliveries.

6Solar Array Inspection
Medium3 hours · 89 applicants this week
Artemis Base depends on its rim-mounted solar array for power. Walk an Optimus along the full installation, photographing each panel bank and flagging any that show degradation, dust accumulation, or micro-meteorite damage.
$350
you earn
Requirements
- →Inspect all 240 panel banks
- →Photo-document damage
- →Submit maintenance priority report
Deliverables
- ✓Panel condition spreadsheet
- ✓Flagged damage photos
- ✓Priority repair list
Life Support Systems Monitor , Environmental Control
ExpertWork from Earth8-hour shift (recurring) · 18 applicants this week
Artemis Base's life support systems keep 48 humans alive in a vacuum. Robots maintain the hardware, but Earth-based engineers monitor the telemetry 24/7 in rotating shifts. You'll track atmospheric composition (O2, CO2, N2, trace gases), thermal regulation across all 6 habitat modules, water recycling efficiency, and pressure differentials. Any anomaly triggers an alert protocol that you manage: assess severity, notify the crew if needed, and dispatch an Optimus robot for physical inspection. This is the most critical Earth-based role in the Artemis program , the crew depends on you. Calm under pressure, systems engineering background, and the ability to work night shifts are essential.
$600
you earn
Requirements
- →Engineering background (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or environmental)
- →Pass life support certification course (40 hrs)
- →Available for rotating 8-hour shifts
Deliverables
- ✓Shift handover report
- ✓Anomaly logs
- ✓System performance dashboard updates
Crew Telehealth Physician , Lunar Medicine
ExpertWork from Earth6-hour shift (weekly recurring) · 9 applicants this week
The 48 crew members at Artemis Base have an onsite medic, but complex medical decisions require Earth-based physicians. You'll review daily crew biometrics (heart rate, blood pressure, bone density trends, radiation exposure), conduct video telehealth consultations, and provide medical guidance for EVA operations. In 1/6th gravity, the human body behaves differently , bone loss, fluid redistribution, and spatial disorientation are constant concerns. Robots can run diagnostics and administer pre-programmed treatments, but diagnosis, treatment planning, and crew psychological assessment require a human physician. 1.3-second communication delay means you must anticipate rather than react.
$750
you earn
Requirements
- →MD or equivalent medical degree
- →Telemedicine experience
- →Aerospace medicine training preferred
- →Available for weekly 6-hour shifts
Deliverables
- ✓Crew health status reports
- ✓Medical consultation logs
- ✓EVA medical clearance certificates
Cargo Manifest Logistics Coordinator
HardWork from Earth12 hours (per manifest cycle) · 22 applicants this week
Every kilogram sent to the Moon costs thousands of dollars, so cargo manifest planning is a high-stakes optimization problem. Earth-based logistics coordinators balance crew supply requests, critical spare parts, scientific equipment, construction materials, and comfort items into the tightest possible HLS payload configurations. You'll use inventory tracking data (monitored by robots at the base), crew consumption models, and upcoming mission requirements to build cargo manifests that maximize value per kilogram. This is supply chain management at its most extreme , a missed item could mean a crew member goes without critical equipment for months. CSA's Lunar Utility Vehicle handles cargo distribution on the surface, but deciding what's on the rocket is a human decision.
$350
you earn
Requirements
- →Supply chain or logistics background
- →Optimization software proficiency
- →Understanding of weight/volume constraints
Deliverables
- ✓Optimized cargo manifest
- ✓Priority ranking justification
- ✓Contingency items list
Crew Morale Coordinator , Recreation & Social Planning
EasyWork from Earth5 hours/week (recurring) · 156 applicants this week
Living on the Moon is isolating. The 48 crew members at Artemis Base work long hours in a confined habitat, and morale directly affects mission performance. As a remote morale coordinator, you plan the social calendar: movie screenings (picking films and coordinating with Earth streaming services), trivia nights (writing space-themed questions), birthday celebrations, holiday events, and team-building activities. You'll communicate with crew via daily messages and weekly video calls to understand what they need. Think cruise ship activity director, but for astronauts. Empathy, creativity, and organizational skills matter most. This role makes a real difference in people's lives 384,000 km from home.
$120
you earn
Requirements
- →5 hours/week commitment
- →Weekly video call with crew
- →Plan 3-4 events per week
Deliverables
- ✓Weekly social calendar
- ✓Event prep materials
- ✓Monthly crew morale survey
